Wenge veneer is striking dark wood with large pores and a distinctly two-tone appearance. Light brown streaks and lines, caused by parenchyma cells, contrast with the predominantly coffee-colored wood. This dark veneer structure with high contrast and a matte finish creates an elegant atmosphere. To preserve its beautiful surface and protect it against ultraviolet rays, a special varnish must be used that does not react with the many substances found in wenge.
