The well-known mahogany veneer (Sapeli or Sipo) has a rose-brown to light red tone. A surface treatment gives it a deeper color and adds a golden sheen. The wood’s characteristic interwoven fibers create beautiful glossy streaks, which are often evenly spaced and close together. Fine, comb-like veins on the radial surface make the veneer grain even more vivid.
